On 11 September 2001 I just painted the background of the above painting.
As I reached a diameter of approx. 15.75 inches (40cm) I saw the
pictures of the attack at the WTC in NY on CNN.
It was so horrible that I thought to keep this painting unfinished.
But I decided to finish the painting and named it '11 September 2001'
in memorial of this tragedy.
